Hattie

I shot Hattie outside the Hangar Bar in the village of Bar Nunn near Casper, Wyoming. She looks statuesque as she acts as a landmark for the bar. I sent one of the owners a copy, and he allowed me to shoot a cool toy truck hanging over the bar. Below is a pic of the toy.

By the way, I recommend this place, as it is fun, with good food and very fair prices.

See you next week.

Patricia

I saw this beauty overlooking highway 95 just south of Athol, Idaho. After three attempts, I  found Larry, her owner, and got his permission to hike through his yard of past trophies to get in position. Obviously Patricia was a working girl, and she wears that class international look well.

See you next week.

See you next week.

Peggy

This shiny babe sits outside the Brig Museum at Farragut State Park near Athol, Idaho. She served 39 years with the Kooskia Idaho Volunteer Fire Department before retiring at the Brig. Even at this age she looks ready to answer the bell.

See you next week.

Lottie

Meet Lottie, a formidable babe comfortable in the rustic countryside of Utah near Capitol Reef National Park. Her rusty posterior blends into the orange-ish reds of buttes and mesas of her surroundings.

Ramona

Meet Ramona, a rusty 1910s Republic flatbed I shot in the pouring rain across the road from the Sister Creek Winery in Sisterdale, Texas. This Boneyard Babe has been around the block. You can feel her sense of purpose, as she kept on working till her wheels fell off!

Truck Factoid:
Ramona was manufactured at the Republic Motor Truck Company, which was in business from 1913 to 1929 in Alma, Michigan. By 1918, it was recognized as the largest exclusive truck manufacturer in the world, and the maker of one out of every nine trucks on the roads in the United States. It was one of the major suppliers of "Liberty trucks" used by American troops during World War I. After the death of its president, Oliver Hayes, in 1928, the company merged with the American LaFrance Company to become LaFrance-Republic. LaFrance-Republic, in turn, was purchased by the Sterling Motor Truck Company in 1932, which was purchased by the White Motor Company in 1951.

Alice

Let me introduce you to Alice, a classy dodge semi that I shot outside of Taos, New Mexico. The bright yellow grill provides nice contrast to her silver body and emphasizes her classic look. Always looking for gals of this caliber!

Hilda

Take look at Hilda! I captured this sweet girl outside of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on the way to the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge. I love how the rust patina gives her a look of fortitude, and the pink front end adds femininity.

See you next week.

Janis

Meet Janis, a Red Diamond T, 1940s flatbed that I shot in the upper lower peninsula of Michigan. She’s a little road weary, but has maintained her gorgeous shape and style. Diamond Ts have that special look about them. How about you? Are you a Diamond T fan?

See you next week.

Viola

Meet Viola, a 1950s Divco panel truck that spent her active years as a milk truck. I can just see a tall skinny guy with an engineer hat lugging a couple of wire trays of glass bottles up to all the front doors in the neighborhood. Bring back any memories?

See you next week.

Dorothea

Meet Dorothea, a 1930s Dodge Brothers dump truck that we found outside a small town near the Salmon-Challis National Forest in Idaho. Turned a corner, and there she was! Just a classic look that inspires both power and class.

Lola

Meet Lola, a green Ford pickup I shot near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore in Michigan where we spent much of the summer of 2012. As you can tell, Lola has spent some time in the rehab clinic, restoring her youthful figure and magnificent front end. Great curve appeal!

Timber Tina

Check out Timber Tina, a 1940s International log hauler. She is one of 20 full-figured gals with attitude from my Big and Bad gallery. We found this gorgeous hunk of metal in extreme west Montana on Highway 200 about 10 miles east of the Idaho border amidst coal-dark skies and the beginning of a thunderstorm. I got the shot I wanted right before the skies opened.

Fully loaded she appears to me to be tired, but tough, powerful but yet quite feminine. If had a front yard, I’d be proud to have her parked there. What do you think? Comments always welcome, likes are nice, and forwarding to friends appreciated.

See you next week.

Frances

Let me introduce you to Frances, a 1930s Model A from my Bright and Bold portfolio of stylish tootsies with shiny chassis. Jan and I and the Pups found her on a dirt road outside of Tuscaloosa in the Spring of 2012. Isn’t she a beauty! I love the full-figured curves of her fenders, how her paint still shines like the smile on a new bride. What do you think? See you next week.
